A Few “Brief” Notes from the Principal

Hello Crusader Families!

It’s been wonderful to share so much great news with you this summer, however this week, I have unfortunate news to share.  Mrs. Jensen will not be returning to Holy Name in the Fall.  While we wish her well in her new chapter of life, we will certainly miss her at Holy Name.  Please keep her in your prayers as she starts her new journey.  We have already started searching for a new Middle School ELA and History teacher and we will keep you posted as we look for the right person to fill this position.  Please watch for the posting on our Facebook page and share it with your friends and family, and please pray that God sends us another wonderful teacher soon.

Don’t forget to stop by the Grade School next week during office hours to shop our free uniform closet.  The Custodial team has been working really hard this summer to make our school look great, as usual, and the Knights have continued to amaze us with the locker room and gym renovation.  We can’t wait for all of you to see all their hard work at Open House on August 26th from 4:00-5:30pm!  Anyone from the Community that would like to see the renovation is welcome to join us at Open House, so please spread the word.

From the Home and School Association

April 23rd, 2026|

It’s that time of year again—elections for open positions on the Home & School Board will be held at our next meeting on May 13 at 5:30 PM in the library conference room.

The positions up for election this year include:

  • Vice President
  • Treasurer
  • Parent Representative #2

These roles are currently held by Jessica Nolde, Shannon Dutkavich, and Megan Haas, and each position carries a two-year term.

If you are interested in being considered for any of these positions, please reach out to Jacquelyn Trask-Rahn at jacquelyn.rahn@gmail.com or via text at 906-399-6640.

If you’d like to learn more about Home & School or what these roles involve, we encourage you to connect as well. We would love to see more parents get involved—whether that means running for a position or simply shadowing a role to learn more.

With several current board members having children moving on to high school in the next 1–2 years, this is a great opportunity to get involved and help support a smooth transition for the future of the organization.
