Holy Name Catholic School and Holy Name High School: A Chesterton Academy are seeking a part-time Latin Teacher in Escanaba, MI. The Latin teacher will teach Latin to Grades 3-9 once a week for each class, focusing on elementary principles, in a nurturing and Christ-centered environment.

Head Cook for Holy Name Catholic School

Holy Name Catholic School is seeking a friendly and organized person to serve as head cook in Escanaba, MI.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ordering inventory and rotating stock, planning menus in accordance with USDA and National School Lunch Program regulations, complying with all food safety requirements, keeping accurate records and logs, completing state and federal reports and audits, supervising the assistant cook and volunteers, preparing and serving meals, and cleaning and maintaining the kitchen.

Working in a school kitchen is fast-paced. The candidate must be able to prioritize tasks and communicate well with other staff members, in addition to being flexible, self-motivated, and patient. Most importantly, the candidate must support the mission of Holy Name Catholic School. The usual hours when school is in session will be 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM with a 30-minute break. There may be occasional after-school responsibilities and trainings.

QUALIFICATIONS:  At least a high school diploma Preferred: At least two years’ experience as a cook or in a related field; Knowledge of nutrition, menu planning, and cooking/baking; Familiarity with food safety procedures – In-Person Training on These Subjects is Available ServSafe certification and regular training upon being hired
