Office Assistant
for Holy Name Catholic School

Holy Name Catholic School is seeking a friendly, organized and outgoing office assistant to be the “first impression” of the school.  This individual will be expected to handle a multitude of tasks, including, but not limited to, basic first aid, collecting and logging in money, selling scrip and school products.  Candidate must be willing to serve all that come to the office with a welcoming demeanor, attention to the need of customer, and an ability to complete the task with the customer. Working in a school office is fast paced. The candidate must be able to prioritize tasks, communicate with all constitutes of the school community in a timely manner, be flexible, self-motivated and patient. Most importantly, the candidate must support the mission of Holy Name Catholic School. There will be occasional after-school responsibilities.

Minimum requirements are two year secretarial or office experience, however, an associate degree in office systems/administrative assistant equivalent degree or technical training is desired.  Understanding of accounting and/or bookkeeping is a plus.  The candidate will need to complete a finger print scan, federally mandated background check, and be VIRTUS trained before being hired.

This position will be a full-time school year (mid August – mid June) position and limited Summer hours.  Salary will be based on education and experience.

Third Grade Teacher

Holy Name Catholic School is seeking a full-time 3rd Grade Teacher in Escanaba, MI. As a Third-Grade teacher you will be responsible for promoting the spiritual and intellectual formation in all subject matters for all our 3rd grade students in a Christ-centered environment.

SCHEDULE This is a full-time position that would begin August 15th and run through the end of the school year, June 20th.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Practicing Catholic preferred

Kitchen Assistant
for Holy Name Catholic School

Holy Name Catholic School is seeking a friendly and organized person to daily assist the school cook with, including, but not limited to, preparing and serving lunch, preparing before meals and clean up after meals, work with inventory and required paperwork, along with general cleaning and maintenance of kitchen, all as assigned by school cook. Working in a school kitchen is fast paced, the candidate must be able to prioritize tasks, communicate with other staff members, be flexible, self-motivated and patient. Most importantly, the candidate must support the mission of Holy Name Catholic School. There may be an occasional after-school responsibilities.

Minimum requirements are a high school diploma, however, previous work in a commercial kitchen is desired. The candidate will need to complete a finger print scan and pass a federally mandated background check, before being hired. The candidate will need to complete and pass Serv Safe course and be VIRTUS trained within 60 days of hire.

This position will be a part-time school year (mid August – mid June) position. Salary will be based on education and experience.
