JMJ

Dear Family,

Today started out like no other day for me. On a fairly regular basis, I use my personal restroom in my office before I start my day. However, for some reason after 67 years of use, my handle decided to break today and I was locked in my restroom. Thankfully, I had my cell phone with me and I was able to call the office for help. Unfortunately, the other side of the handle didn’t do anything either. I know that many people have had to work from home, but I was starting to think that I was going to have to work from the “throne”. Well, Mr. Johnson came and tried a few things and we still couldn’t get the handle to open, much less budge. So he resorted to a saw and he cut the handle right off and saved me from having an otherwise pretty “stinky” day. P.S. The readiness kindergarten class is convinced that a leprechaun did it!

On a much brighter note, Brigette DeCremer (1st Grade teacher) went to the hospital early yesterday morning and delivered a perfectly healthy little boy named Louie at 3:46 p.m.! Mom and baby are doing great! Michelle Steinhausen (one of our maintenance staff) is also staying home until her baby comes. Please keep both of them in your prayers. I will keep you informed as soon as I hear anything.

Tomorrow, we will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! The elementary students will have a “Green” NUT Day. The middle school students will have a “Shirt” day wearing their uniform bottoms. The Home and School Association also purchased some chocolate coins and green necklaces for students and staff to wear. We will be passing out the necklaces at the doors in the morning. If we miss anyone, please come to the office. We will have extras there.

Please read the attachment from Andrea Tourangeau, the vice president of our Home and School Association. Although this year we have not had any in-person meetings, our committee has been meeting virtually on a regular basis. We have several positions that are opening up and I invite you to consider serving. Andrea included a brief description of the open positions and the responsibilities. Even if you don’t hold a position, parents are welcome to attend the meetings. Thank you for your consideration!

There are no COVID cases to report today.

Have a blessed day!

Joe
