February 17th – School Update

February 18th, 2021|

JMJ Dear Family, I pray that this Ash Wednesday is the first of many to grow in holiness through prayer, fasting and almsgiving for all of us! Today’s Gospel reading is one of my all-time favorites. Mt 6:1-6, 16-18 Jesus said to his disciples: “Take care not to perform righteous deeds in order that people may see them; otherwise, you will have no recompense from your heavenly Father. When you give alms, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets [...]

JMJ Dear Family, Well it was slightly warmer today but not too much. We still had to keep the kids inside from recess. Hopefully, tomorrow it will be a little warmer and we can get outside. God bless and stay warm! Joe 409 S. 22nd Street | Escanaba, MI 49289 P: (906) 786-7550 | F: (906) 786-7582 | W: holynamecrusaders.com It's more than a school...it's a way of life!

February 11th – School Update

JMJ Dear Family, Today we celebrated a memorial Mass for the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. Ask your child about the story. Fr. Rob’s homily was on the story of Lourdes and awesome miracles that have happened and continue to happen both spiritually and physically through the healing power of God! Yes, miracles are still happening. But he reminded us of the greatest miracle which happened on our altar this morning in our humble chapel, when the word became flesh in the Holy Eucharist. As we wrap up this [...]

JMJ Dear Family, I am so sorry for the delay in getting the Zoom link up and running for the talent show this afternoon. I'm still not sure why it wasn't allowing us to login today. Tomorrow is spirit day so please wear your green and white colors! We will also be having our final game show of the week "Family Feud" with our 8th grade class! I have had a couple questions regarding snow days and if we will switch to online. If we have a snow day tomorrow [...]

JMJ Dear Family, Happy Catholic Schools Week - Day 3! I loved seeing all of the kids get into the decades day! It really brought a lot of levity in the school today with lots of smiles looking at all the styles on the students and staff. Market Day was a huge success! We almost sold out of all the items! Thank you for your support and generosity. I will let you know the total raised once we finish counting all of the quarters. Tomorrow is “The Shirt” day! We [...]
