A Few “Brief” Notes from the Principal

Hello Crusader Families!

We have had a very short week with the holiday on Monday and the severe weather days Tuesday and today, but it was still a fabulous week, as always, at Holy Name. Next week is Catholic Schools Week and we have many fun activities planned to celebrate our Parishes, Community, Staff/Faculty, Nations, Vocations, Students, and Families.  Please see the CSW flyer that was shared last Friday in the Newsletter, and again today, for more details on each day.  I was able to add a K9 Unit Demonstration to Celebrating our Community on Monday.  A big thanks goes out to Captain Austin Young with Escanaba Public Safety for making this event possible.

Another exciting new opportunity we have for our current Holy Name Families is that during the week of Catholic Schools Week you can register your children for the 2026-2027 school year for only $25!!  This opportunity is only available January 25th-January 31st and only for current Holy Name Families.  Starting February 1st, enrollment will be open to the public and registration fees will increase to $100.  I pray that you will take advantage of this opportunity.  Not only will registering early save you money, but it will also help us plan for teachers, curriculum, budgets, and more for the 26-27 school year.  It might seem like next school year is a long way away, but planning and preparation for next year is already beginning.

I pray that you all stay warm and safe this weekend.  Please pray for those that are less fortunate than us and who do not have shelter from the cold.

God bless,

Mrs. Brief 😀

A “Viau” from the Headmaster:

Hello Crusader Family!

With Monday being a holiday and Tuesday a snow day, it’s been a quiet week at the high school! We had one full day of school with all of our students on Wednesday and that evening 19 of our students left to attend the March for Life in Washington D.C. with Fr. Ryan Ford and the Yoopers 4 Life. Please keep them all in your prayers as they experience this life changing event and stand for the right to life of all human beings, from conception to natural death.

Next week is Catholic Schools Week and we have a slate full of wonderful things planned to celebrate being part of our wonderful Catholic School!

Stay warm, everyone!

Have a fantastic weekend!

God Bless,

Mrs. Viau
