Dear Family,
We all know the snow is coming, but the first time you see it, which was this morning for me, it always seems way too early.
I have one new positive COVID-19 case to report today. It is a student in 4th grade. We have completed the contact tracing and will need to quarantine five students in 4th grade. They will be able to return on Thursday, October 22nd. This case is related to the aide in kindergarten.
The students who are required to be quarantined were determined to be close contacts while eating lunch. For the time being, I have decided to have students in grades 1-8 eat lunch in their classrooms so that they will be more socially distant from each other. Doing this will help fewer students go home in these grade levels.
I hope that everyone has a nice weekend and is able to finish their pre-winter projects that still need to get done before the big snow. I know that we still have a few.
God bless,
Joe
