Dear Families of Holy Name Catholic School,
Wow! Grandparents day was a huge success. We did not anticipate the large gathering. There were clearly a few bumps due to the huge crowds, but the immediate feedback was very positive from our grandparents. They are such a special part of our school family. I witnessed many hugs and smiles throughout the morning. Thank you to Jackie Wiltzius, Deb Casey and Julie Rexford for your hard work. Thank you to all the students and teachers for preparing something special via poem or song for our honored guests.
We would like your help with something. Our enrollment in Preschool 4 is already full! That is great news. We do have room in Kindergarten and Preschool 3. If you know someone who would like more information or a tour of our preschool 3 or Kindergarten to please reach out. There are so many special things happening at Holy Name. We are blessed to have your children here.
The band program is an official go and we are posting that position. More information to come.
Next week is Holy Week. We are entering into these solemn days. There is no Mass offered on Holy Thursday during the day. We encourage you to attend at a local parish in the evening. Fr. Tim will be having Mass on Wednesday at 9am and you are welcome to attend. Additionally, Fr. Brandon will be available for confessions at 1:00pm on Wednesday as well for our students to take advantage of the sacrament. The local parishes offer confessions on the weekends and I would encourage everyone to go. The free Grace of the sacrament brings your heart peace.
As you can see from previous emails this week that God is sending us the right people at the right time. To be clear, Todd LaFave will still have a small role in our community with year end and monthly reporting. We are so grateful to Todd. We are also so thankful for Margaret Renner and Michelle Bink for their leadership and hard work here at Holy Name. They are leaving us, but have left a beautiful legacy. Some transitions will take longer than others and you will still see them around. We each do the parts God is asking of us and surrender the rest to Him.
With great joy and peace,
Nathan Vande Hey – Principal
