A Few “Brief” Notes from the Principal
Hello Crusader Families!
This week went by very quickly as everyone was excited to get back into school after all those blizzard/snow days. We were able to practice our Extreme Weather Drill (Tornado Drill) on Tuesday. The Middle School girls volleyball team recently wrapped up their season while Middle and High School Track is just getting underway. It was nice to see the halls and classrooms full and busy again. Next week they will be empty one more time as we have Spring Break March 30th-April 6th. School resumes on Tuesday, April 7th.
Even though it doesn’t feel like it, it’s officially Spring! Which means our Spring Fling is just around the corner on Saturday, April 18th. If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, please use this link to order them now:

We are also in need of gift cards, bottles of wine, and items for our raffles. Please feel free to drop off donations during our office hours or contact Jane Arts at 906-786-7550 x202 or alumni@holynamecrusaders.com to arrange a drop off or pick up time during Spring Break or after school hours. We appreciate your support and donations as we prepare for our biggest fundraiser of the year!
I pray that you all have a wonderful, safe, and relaxing Spring Break as well as a Blessed Easter!
God bless,
Mrs. Brief 😀

Hello Crusader Family!
Today is our LAST fish fry of the year! We’ve had such a great turnout each week and would love to finish strong. Please come and support this year’s freshmen and sophomores in raising money for their Rome Pilgrimage. Speaking of the Rome Pilgrimage, I hope you’ve been able to see the updates on our Holy Name Facebook page from our juniors and seniors that are on their trip. What an amazing experience they’ve had! They will be heading home today after a fantastic pilgrimage. Prayers for their safe trip home are much appreciated.
It’s hard to believe that after spring break we will be starting our final quarter of the year! I am confident that our students will work hard to finish the year strong but I know that we’re all a little ready for a break. I hope you all have a wonderful spring break and that you enjoy every minute of it!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
God Bless,
Mrs. Viau

A Few “Brief” Notes from the Principal
Hello Crusader Families!
What an interesting week it’s been to say the least. Never in all my years in education have I seen 5 snow days in a row, but they say there’s a first time for everything! On top of those snow days, we also have a planned Professional Development Day today for staff and no school for students, so the students get an additional day off today while the teachers are busy learning more about our Classical Education curriculum that the schools in the Diocese of Marquette are blessed to offer in our Catholic schools, as well as other professional development topics.
This evening there is an Eighth Grade Parent meeting in the Library at 5pm for those wishing to learn more about the Eighth Grade class trip followed by the Fish Fry from 5:30-7:30pm in the Multi. Mrs. Viau and I will be testing out our skills at the Fish Fry tonight while many of our High School students are on their Pilgrimage in Rome. We have some mighty big shoes to fill tonight, but we’ll have fun trying! We hope you can come out and join us in a great Fish Fry and probably some good laughs too!
Thank you so much for all your patience this week. Please pray that those that are still snowed in can get out safely this weekend and that things can return to normal on Monday. Also, please pray for safe travels for our Rome pilgrims and their chaperones.
God bless,
Mrs. Brief 😀

There’s not much to report this week due to the snow storm, except for a Rome Pilgrim update! Our crew was supposed to board a plane on Monday morning from Green Bay. That flight was cancelled and that got the ball rolling to make other arrangements. Long story short, our 11 students and 3 adults made a trip to Detroit at 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning, boarded their plane and are currently enjoying their time in Rome! If you want to see pictures and updates from their trip, please follow Holy Name School on Facebook! A huge shoutout to Julie and Mike Rexford for their countless hours working with ProRome Tours and airlines to get flights set up as well as Jeni Diebolt, Jackie Hastings and Nate Raiche who drove to Detroit to get the travelers to the airport.
Please keep all of our travelers in your prayers.
Have a great weekend!
Erin Viau
