Father Allen P. Mott, Holy Name Class of ’89, St. Anthony Parish – Gwinn, Michigan

Attending and graduating from Holy Name Catholic School helped provide a strong foundation of my faith and was an important part of my discernment of becoming a priest. The one thing I remember the most and
am grateful for was the teaching staff, kitchen workers, janitors who were committed because it was a mission for them rather than a job.

The reopening of Holy Name High School would be a great asset to the Upper Peninsula and our Diocese for the future of our church and vocations. My parents made great sacrifices so that my siblings and I could receive a Catholic education. May the next generation be willing to make a great sacrifice to support a Catholic education.
