Message from the Principal

May 29th, 2025|

Dear Families of Holy Name,

We were informed by Escanaba Public Schools that we cannot use the Title I funds for all of our students in the summer academy. The funds are designated only for students who have received Title I services this school year and reside in the district of Escanaba. This essentially means only these qualifying students get no cost summer academy tuition.

That being said, we have a lot of interest in the summer academy. For non Title I students, the cost per child would be $240 for the four week program. It would be open to grades K-8.

The dates and times would be as follows:

  • July 7-10, 14-17. 21-24, 28-31 from 9am to noon.

Please fill out the following form to express your interest in the Holy Name Summer Academy by June 10, 2025

Peace and joy,

Nathan Vande Hey

Holy Name is hiring!

January 25th, 2023|

We are adding another grade (our first senior class) and need more teachers!
Holy Name High School – Chesterton Academy, seeks a devoted and talented teacher for the 2023-24 academic year. The position is full-time and would teach 9th-12th grade history and other humanities subjects such as literature, philosophy, or theology depending on the applicant’s proficiencies.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and experience with classical learning in the subjects taught. Two or more years of teaching experience in a classical setting is preferred, but a passion for Catholic education is required.
The candidate must be willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium and preference will be given to practicing Catholics in good standing with the Church. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and possess a track record of contributing to the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise.
In addition to their teaching responsibilities, faculty at Chesterton Academy can lead Chesterton extra-curricular activities like sports, clubs and our Household system. Faculty members join the students for daily Mass and are encouraged to attend spiritual retreats and guest presentations.
