Christmas Parade Float

November 13th, 2024|

Dear Families of Holy Name,

We have a parade coming in a few weeks on December 6. It turns out that Holy Name won first place last year. I saw pictures and was impressed with the beautifully decorated float demonstrating the meaning of Christmas. What we need is someone to lead this year’s float building. We will also need a team of people to help construct and put it all together. This is a golden opportunity to share the message that Christ came to save us. It is also a highly visible event for the Escanaba community. They can see the great things Holy Name does day in and day out.

Please fill out the form on the following link https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdUyusQj-0EWQwFxMz8SQ2PWp_Q3Ei4Hfxzuf03SRb7B-cv3g/viewform?usp=pp_url

Thank you for considering. Community is built on projects like this.

Peace and joy,

Nathan Vande Hey

Holy Name School plans Veterans Day Celebration Monday
Holy Name Catholic School is planning a Veterans Day celebration concert on Monday, Nov. 11 at 9:30 a.m. in the elementary school’s multi-purpose room. All area Veterans and their family members are invited to attend; Veterans will be honored. Holy Name middle school and high school students will sing patriotic songs, with accompaniment by Senator Ed McBroom and HNCS Principal Nathan Vande Hey. Songs performed will include “The Star-Spangled Banner,” “God Bless America,” along with the Armed Forces Medley (to salute each branch of the U.S. Armed Forces), and “God Bless the USA”.
Holy Name science teacher and U.S. Navy Veteran Mrs. JoEllen Hadel will show a presentation of photos that she compiled of Veteran family members of Holy Name students and staff, in order to thank them for their service. In addition, students in third, fourth and fifth grades will recite poetry. Students will also present handmade cards thanking our Veterans for their service. The entire program will last approximately 45 minutes to one hour. Holy Name is located at 409 So. 22nd Street, Escanaba.
