A Few “Brief” Notes from the Principal:

Hello Crusader Families!

Monday marked the end of the TV6 Can-a-Thon and I am so proud of our students!  All together, they brought in an impressive 7,738 items!  The 8th Grade won the contest with 2,146 items, so they will enjoy a pizza, pop, and ice cream party from Home & School!  5th Grade came in second place with 816 items, 7th Grade came in third with 671 items, and in a close fourth place with 662 items was the 4th Grade.  Thanks to our students, their families, and everyone’s generous hearts, many people in our community will have food this Winter.

Another celebration this week was when our Boys Middle School Basketball team defeated Carney Nadeau in their first game of the Little Cedar River Tournament.  They continue their voyage tomorrow against Bark River at 1pm in Carney.  Good luck Crusaders!

Finally, we will be celebrating the Immaculate Conception, a Holy Day of Obligation, with a school Mass for the Grade School in the Multi at 2:15pm on Monday, December 8th.  The High School students will attend the Holy Day Mass at St. Anne’s at 8am.  Thank you to Father Rob for offering this special Mass for us!

Have a wonderful weekend, stay warm, and may God bless you,
Mrs. Brief 😀

A “Viau” from the Headmaster:

Hello Crusader Family!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and were able to spend some time with your family, relaxing and enjoying each other! It was good to be back to school on Monday after our break. The students jumped right into their classes and continue to work hard.

All high school parents and students should check their email for information regarding the March For Life trip. While this isn’t a school sponsored trip, we are happy to pass along all of the information regarding getting registered and all of that is included in your email. There is a DEADLINE and the space is limited so please check that email and register ASAP.

Most of you know about the Student Life committee that is active at the high school. This group consists of parents and students that want to enrich the high school experience for our students. The group is open to anyone and we would love more people to join. Our next meeting will be held on January 12 at 5:30 at the High School. In addition to this information, we are looking for a parent that is willing to be the chairperson of this group. Please watch your email for more information about this role and for an application to be considered. We will need the application back by January 5, 2026 and we will vote at the January 12 meeting. We hope that you prayerfully consider this!

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the High School Drama play. Under the direction of Mrs. Ellis, the juniors and seniors have been working very hard on this production. You’ll have three chances to catch this fantastic show! “Letters from the Titanic” will be offered on Thursday, January 8 at 6:30 p.m., January 9 at 6:30 p.m. and January 10 at 1:00 p.m. All productions will be in the multipurpose room at the Grade School.

Finally, congratulations to our High School Quiz Bowl team! They had a great run this year and finished out their season today after three rounds of competition! Way to represent Holy Name School! We are so proud of you!

Keeping you all in prayer this Advent Season!

God Bless,
Mrs. Viau
