A Few “Brief” Notes from the Principal
Hello Crusader Families!
We had a wonderful week at school this week with lots of special moments. We started by celebrating Mother Mary’s birthday on Tuesday. Then, Wednesday was picture day and I heard many compliments regarding the new photographer, Memories Studio. On Thursday we had an amazing turnout for Grandparent’s Day Mass! Thank you to all of the grandparents and special guests that attended our special Mass and celebrated with us in the Multi afterwards. Father Rob and Deacon Bob blessed us with a beautiful Mass and then blessed our updated locker rooms and gym. It was nice to recognize the Knights of Columbus for all of their hard work this summer and to thank everyone who donated time, talent, materials, sweat, or money. Holy Name is very grateful and blessed.
Yesterday we started out in convo by praying for all those who lost their lives on 9/11, those that survived, and the families of all those affected on Patriot’s Day. Prayers and lessons continued throughout the day as each class prayed and learned about the devastating event that happened 25 years ago. May God bless them all.
Crusader Friday was amazing yesterday! My heart was filled with joy and pride when I saw so many students and staff wearing Crusader shirts. We had Convo in the gym today, and when you looked across the bleachers, there was so much green and white. It’s awesome to see such great school pride. Every Friday some of our staff members will be attempting to make half court shots. If they make the basket, the students at the Grade School will get a N.U.T. Day reward. Last year it took until almost Christmas before a basket was made, but Father Rob almost sank one on the first day! The students get so excited and chant the adult’s name. The sights and sounds bring chills to your arms. It’s the little things in life that bring so much joy and happiness.
I pray that you all have a fabulous weekend. We are looking forward to our first full week of school next week!
God bless,
Mrs. Brief 😀
