Dear Family,
I hope this email finds you all doing well on this sunny, but chilly, Tuesday afternoon. I do not have any new school related COVID cases to report today. We still have a few students out with “buck fever” but they should be back shortly.
Today the Escanaba Area Public School (EAPS) communicated that they will switching to virtual learning kindergarten through 8th grade beginning Monday November 23rd through Friday, December 4th. We will continue to offer face-to-face instruction during this time. However, the busses will not be running and these days will be parent transport days.
Although we have had some staffing challenges we are continuing to persevere and have been able to continue to serve your children and we are committed to continuing this effort.
Middle school students taking band or orchestra will still be able to live-stream from Holy Name in the library during these days.
I believe that the efforts we have made are serving our students well. We will continue this and we ask you continue to check yourself and your students for any symptoms and keep your children home when they are sick and to seek testing when appropriate. We do have many people in our community suffering from this illness and we are thankful for all our hard working healthcare providers.
I’m so thankful for all of your support this year! We are going to get through this!
God bless,
Joe
