As you may have heard, the CDC made some changes to their COVID practices last week and our Governor followed suit shortly afterwards. Below are some of the changes that pertain to schools. JMJ Dear Family, I was informed last night and this morning that we had three students in close contact to a positive COVID case outside of the school. There are no other quarantines necessary at this time. This afternoon, our Governor made an announcement regarding the wearing of masks and those who are and are vaccinated. JMJ Dear Family, Well, we just finished our first track meet of the year a little bit ago! The kids did great! They ran hard and supported each other really well! Tomorrow, there will be a new principal in the building. Her name is Vivienne Lewandowski. She is a first grader! I’m looking forward to taking the day off! ? JMJ Dear Family, One of our janitorial staff was listed as a close contact of a positive COVID case from over the weekend. She will be staying home until she completes her quarantine. JMJ Dear Family, There are no COVID cases to report today. Today, effective immediately, we were informed that in an effort to remain consistent with other local health departments throughout the Upper Peninsula and State of Michigan, we will be moving back to 10 day quarantines. People will be free to resume their normal activities after day 10, but will need to continue to self-monitor for symptoms between days 11-14. This will also apply to our students and staff who are currently quarantined. This weekend, we celebrate Mother’s Day! Where [...]
