JMJ Dear Family, There are no school related COVID cases to report today. However, we did have a couple students that were considered close contacts and will need to be quarantined. Please pray for a speedy recovery for these individuals affected by this development. Today after Mass, Fr. Robb Jurkovich informed me that Fr. Emmett Norden has been in OSF St. Francis Hospital since Wednesday, October 21st. He had been diagnosed with COVID on Sunday, October 18th. School Update- October 28 J.M.J. Dear Family, Today there are no new school related cases of COVID to report. We have a couple students who were close contacts of positive cases outside of our school. Please pray that they remain healthy and can join us as soon as possible! Tomorrow, we will be celebrating Mass at 9:10 a.m. again with Fr. Rob. Tomorrow is Fr. Fran’s birthday. Please say an extra Our Father for him tomorrow. Unfortunately, our football game that was scheduled tonight, against Superior Central Schools, was cancelled due to the condition of their field and all of the snow they received yesterday. We tried to get a game set up here instead but they declined. We are proud of our boys. They put a lot of effort and hard work into their practices and game. J.M.J. Dear Family, I hope that everyone had a nice weekend! The kids had a fun time making little snowmen at recess today! I don’t have any new school related COVID-19 cases to report today. Our possible case that we had in pre-school came back negative over the weekend. We still have a couple students out because they are considered close contacts. We hope that they remain healthy. JMJ Dear Family, Today, I don’t have any new cases of COVID to report that were in school. However, we did have a pre-school parent in Mrs. Wiltzius’ class that tested positive yesterday. Their child stayed home today and will be getting tested as a precaution. We should receive the results over the weekend sometime. If the test comes back positive, I will be sure to let you know. JMJ Dear Family, I pray that all of you are doing well. I have one new positive COVID-19 case to report today. It was a second grader in Mrs. Racicot’s class. This student and their siblings were considered a close contact of their parent who tested positive this past Monday morning. The students were only in school about an hour before we received the call that their parent tested positive. None of the students were showing symptoms at that time. JMJ Dear Family, We are exited to welcome back tomorrow our kindergarten class and the couple of 4th graders that were quarantined! Again, thank you to Mrs. McNamee and Ms. Cashen for putting everything together for those students and for keeping them engaged and learning! JMJ Dear Family, We all know the snow is coming, but the first time you see it, which was this morning for me, it always seems way too early. I have one new positive COVID-19 case to report today. It is a student in 4th grade. We have completed the contact tracing and will need to quarantine five students in 4th grade. They will be able to return on Thursday, October 22nd. J.M.J. October 14, 2020 Dear Holy Name Families, I have one new positive COVID-19 case to report today. It is our kindergarten aide that was considered a close contact with a positive case. I sent an email regarding this individual on Sunday afternoon. At the time I sent the communication on Sunday I was told that she was not exhibiting any symptoms and therefore it did not require us to do anything at the time.
