Dear Family,

I have one new COVID note to mention today. We were informed today that we had a parent of one of our students in Mrs. Hadel’s 6th grade homeroom class tested positive. The student is not showing any symptoms and there are no additional quarantines at this time.

Many of you may have read the communication from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Beginning on Monday, April 26th. all students in pre-schools and daycares that are two years and older must make a “good faith effort” to wear a mask while in the classroom. Our little ones had been wearing their masks in common areas or when transitioning throughout the school.

Today is administrative assistant day. We are blessed with a very caring office staff! Jodi Mutch, Mickey Trottier, Michelle Bink and Ashley Westlund are tremendous assets to our school. They are the oil in the gears that keeps the school operating smoothly. They do everything from raising money, putting on bandaids, making copies, setting up meetings, communications, keeping their principal on task and so much more! Make sure you take a minute to let them know how much you appreciate them.

The difference is prayer. Today, we had a unique opportunity to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for Mrs. Bessonen’s sister who passed away yesterday. I know that God heard us! Although we are much more separated this year than any other, I’m grateful that we still take some time to pray together as a school family. This is just one of many things that makes our school unique.

Have a blessed evening!

Joe
